History of Loei Highway District 1
In 1942, the Department of Highways established the Loei Highway District, using land from the public cemetery in Ban Hae, Tambon Kut Pong, Amphoe Mueang Loei, Loei Province.
The area, approximately 28 rai, was used as the office location.
In 1945, the Loei Highway District was dissolved and became part of the Chum Phae Highway District, under the Khon Kaen Highway District.
In 1952, the Loei Highway District was re-established, under the Khon Kaen Highway District.
In 1988, the Loei Highway District was transferred to the Phetchabun Highway District (Highway Office 6).
In 1996, funding was received to construct a new office for Loei Highway District 1.
In 1997, construction was completed. It is located at Km. 0+000 on the left side of Highway 201, from the intersection in front of Loei Highway District 1 to
the intersection leading to Chiang Klom (Km. 0 intersection).
